Overview

ReadSnap is a Chrome extension that turns selected text into simpler reading views, key points, keywords, focus notes, and saved useful lines. The extension is designed to work locally in your browser.

Information stored locally

ReadSnap may store saved notes, selected snippets you choose to save, mode preferences, and license status using Chrome storage on your device or browser profile.

Information ReadSnap does not collect

Personal files
Passwords
Payment card details
Identity documents
Private messages
Precise location
Data for advertising tracking

Selected text

Selected text is processed in your browser to create reading notes. ReadSnap does not send selected text to our servers for AI processing.

Payments and license keys

ReadSnap Pro checkout, receipts, subscriptions, and license keys are handled by Lemon Squeezy. ReadSnap may check whether a license key is valid, but ReadSnap does not store card details.

Data selling and advertising

ReadSnap does not sell user data and does not track users for advertising.

Deleting data

You can remove locally stored ReadSnap data by clearing the extension storage in Chrome or uninstalling the extension.
